Residential House Manager at Lundsbergs School

At Lundsbergs School, we have a long and proud tradition of preparing our students for the future.

As a Residential House Manager, you will promote an environment where our students not only thrive but also have the best conditions to grow and develop into responsible and independent individuals.

– Susanna Hodin, Head of Boarding, Lundsbergs School.

Lundsbergs School, located in Storfors municipality in Värmland, is one of Sweden's most renowned boarding schools with over 100 years of history. Here, 260 students from grade 9 to high school attend, and together with our approximately 100 dedicated staff members, we create an environment where education and personal development go hand in hand. The school is run as a foundation and is characterized by a strong community and a long tradition of high well-being and quality.

We are now looking for a Residential House Manager for our school – a unique opportunity to make a real difference in young people's lives.

Your Mission

As a Residential House Manager at Lundsbergs School, you are a central part of the school's daily operations and the long-term development of the boarding house. You have an important responsibility to create a safe and inclusive environment where students feel seen, respected, and have the best conditions to develop in a stimulating learning environment. Your adult leadership, your ability to be a role model, and your commitment will be crucial in strengthening the values we work by.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build a safe, engaging, and study-friendly environment where students thrive and develop.
  • Actively work with the school's values to shape a culture characterized by respect, equality, and responsibility.
  • Promote a boarding culture where all students can take space and feel a sense of belonging, regardless of background or age.
  • Maintain close contact with students, guardians, teachers, and the student health team.
  • Plan and organize activities that strengthen safety and values in the boarding house.
  • Be responsible for the boarding house's budget, routines, and documentation.

Welcome to Lundsbergs School – an environment where you have the opportunity to make a difference for the next generation!

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has experience working with young people – professionally or voluntarily – and who is confident in a leadership role. You are a clear, warm, and present adult that students can rely on.

We see that you have:

  • Leadership experience and the ability to take responsibility.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically - you are proficient in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
  • An interest in young people's leisure interests and a desire to be involved in their development.
  • Structured and good administrative skills.
  • A valid driver's license (B category).

It is an advantage if you have an academic education in pedagogy, social work, behavioral science, or equivalent, as well as experience in leading change work.

Lundsbergs School Offers

A meaningful assignment in a unique school environment where tradition meets development. You will be part of a dedicated boarding team with shared responsibility for safety and well-being – and you will help shape the next chapter in the school's history.

Employment Conditions

  • Permanent employment at 100% with a six-month probationary period.
  • Start date according to agreement.
  • Application deadline January 31
  • Salary according to agreement, collective agreement exists.
  • Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
